This page covers tapeit.dev, the Tape waitlist and the emails we send to teams. Tape is made by [Company name]. Questions about this page: [contact].

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we store:

That’s all. We don’t store your IP address. To stop automated sign-ups, we count sign-ups per connection per day under a scrambled key that changes daily and is deleted within two days.

Why

To email you about Tape and your invite: one email right after you join, saying you’re on the list, and later your invite. Your answer to “What would you tape first?” helps us decide who to invite first. If you reply to our email, we read your reply to learn what to build. No newsletter, and we never sell or share your address for marketing.

Personal links in our emails

When we write to a company about Tape, the email may contain a personal link to this site; it starts with tapeit.dev/r/. If you open it, we record:

The link carries a short code that we match to the company we wrote to. We use these records to see whether our email was useful and to follow up. We don’t record your IP address, your browser details or anything you type, and we delete the records after 90 days. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, nothing is recorded.

Who processes it

Cloudflare hosts this website and stores the waitlist and the records of personal links in its D1 database. Resend sends our emails. Both handle your data only on our behalf.

Cookies and tracking

If you didn’t arrive through a personal link, this website sets no cookies and records nothing about your visit: no analytics, ads or tracking pixels. A personal link sets two cookies for 30 days: one holds its code, the other tells the page to send the visit’s records described above. The waitlist emails contain no tracking, and the fonts are served from this site.

Deleting your data

Email [email protected], or reply to any email from us, and we’ll delete your address, the records of a personal link we sent you, and anything stored with them. You can also ask us to stop emailing you at any time.

Children

Tape isn’t for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
